Nice

I think it's a sweet game, well that might be a wrong way to put it really, seeing as it's a dark gloomy game about coping with shock, tragedy, loss, consequences ending suicidal.
Sweet non-the-less, in terms of how the music fits the story, how wonderfully tragic the story is, and how it managed to pull me inside with "just" crude pixel graphics.

Fun and addicting, but...

This is quite a fun and addicting TD game. However it tends to drag on, and later levels (after 100) are very slow. Many towers are very useless, and there are some graphical glitches.
Disruptor beam and Inverter beam are musts. Cleverly positioned Inverter beams throughout the map renders super enemies useless. Other towers I used were Rail guns (lots of them), Laser beam and fission laser (1-2 of each). I concentrated all of my defenses through the middle, nothing passed.
My biggest issues with the game are;
- The game seems to not have an end, I got to around level 240 in easy mode (and would continue much further, but my system crashed when going to sleep mode). Without an ending there is no sense of a good reward after playing for a day or two.
- There are some graphical glitches; Radar Beam leaves red traces where it fired, these tend to hang forever on screen. Exploding enemies make huge explosion circles that behave irregularly/buggy. Neither of these impact game-play though.
- Most enemies are very slow, this combined with their massive amount of health on much later levels (200+) makes the game a bit boring to play. Especially when you know they can't even reach half of the road.

Overall it's addicting, and fun for a while as most TDs are. Graphics are simple, yet enough for this type of game. Music is OK, towers are interesting (though there is room for more variations, and perhaps an expensive downgrading system would be a good idea, which would prove useful for Inverter beams, once a stray Inverter locks a Super enemy and there is not enough firepower to destroy it, the only option is to sell the Inverter, when a speed downgrade would be just enough to solve the hang)

Nice but...

The playability of this game is superb. It has variety in just the right places. Most waves differ greatly from each other, and the screen rotations are a nice touch.
However as Rathan pointed out the game relies heavily on luck, a bit too much too. Especially since it is a "beat my high score" kind of game, the high score becomes pointless when it's dictated mostly by luck of "what power ups will I get this time around?".
Also the mini ship seems useless, expires too fast, and shoots too slowly to make any kind of noticeable impact. It say either loose it, or make it a "collect three for an extra life" sort of thing. (or of course improve it's shooting speed)

All in all, I love the game, but feel it can be better.

...

The graphics are superb 10/10.
The gameplay however, the actions are usually too illogical, I just went around the screen clicking or checking the walkthrough to see what happens next, the killing is there for it's own sake. I got bored of random clicking :-/

...

I was gonna give this a 10/10, but then I got to the last level and the queen arrived. I was expecting something more challenging from the main boss, yet it was so easy it's funny. You've got all this build up of power, tension, and what not, and then the main boss is a piece of cake with 20 grenades and a couple of minigun bullets? I feel the queen should be much tougher, tougher than those two other boses combined, with a special trick to figure out in order to finish her off.
All in all it's a good and addictin game.

GP-studios responds:

Due to the large amount of choice and upgrades available this is not possible.
While some will, some WON'T buy the minigun, and if I were to make the queen a challenge while using the minigun, it would then make it absolutely impossible without.

The queen is currently balanced so that she is only just beatable with the sniper or grenade launcher (if you want a challenge see if you can do that, you will need to use all 20 nades, aswell as as many remotes as you can throw and then only just beat her as she is about to destroy you).

Nice

The music is amazing, great pick there.
The game conveys a good message, but is a bit too simple and too short for my liking. However as it's just an experimental ambiental game it deserves a 10.

Nice

It's a nice game that makes me keep coming back. But, ti has flaws, and those have been addressed by almost every review before mine.

Nice

Nice game, I would have given it a 10 if the boss was a bit less frustrating (as well as some other levels)

Heh

The idea is OK, however just going around, collecting with no real obstacles or sense of purpose... it's a bit boring. If each room had some kind of an interactive obstacle, or a maze here and there it would make much more sense and add to the fun.
Sorry, there's just nothing to keep me interested :-/

Feels like Aquaria

Very relaxing, feels a lot like Aquaria (an indie game by Bit Blot) just brighter. Great graphics and feel to it.
Even though I would prefer if it was a bit more on the puzzle side it still deserves a 10 out of 10.
